We gathered 20 members @ The Champagne Bar by Richard Juhlin for a tasting of the full range of the champagnes from old time favorite Egly-Ouiret from Ambonnay.
We invited our dear friends Alf Tumble (music producer, dj, sommelier & Wine writer ) & Petter (rapper, wine importer & sommelier etc) to select their own five champagnes for our champagne list.

För ett par år sedan såg jag ett repriserat inslag på TV4:s program 1:a, 2:a, 3:e då Peder Lamm försökte sig på att sabrera en flaska champagne med den vassa eggen på en sabel. Det gick ingen vidare för att uttrycka sig milt, det gick åt minst ett tiotal slag innan han lyckades.
In May the FINE Champagne Magazine and Tastingbook selected the World’s Best Champagnes for 2015. This year rose’s triumph with the majestic Ruinart ‘Dom Ruinart Rosé’ 2002 claiming the title of the ‘Best Champagne for 2015’.
It is not often that one has the opportunity to witness a spectacular world record. I remember it like yesterday when Patrik Sjöberg facing a devoutly silent Stockholm Stadium broke the world record in the high jump in 1987 at 242. Now it was time for the next Gothenburger – Julio Gonzalo Romero Chang to take back his old world record in sabrage. Julio lost his record of 47 bottles in 60 seconds recently. The training had reportedly been excellent. It was speculated before he would go ‘safe’ and fix 48 bottles. But no, he ultimately shattered the old record. The new entry is 55 bottles in 60 seconds!
